The objective of the campaign, which will feature tv, print and radio advertising, is to encourage those with symptoms of COPD to see their GP to discuss lung health and to have a lung function test (spirometry test). The messages of the campaign are:
The campaign will be seen in Toowoomba, Queensland, including the outlying areas of Boodua, Clifton, Crows Nest, Dalby, Goombungee, Goondiwindi, Oakey, Millmeran, Pittsworth, Stanthorpe, Texas, Warwick and Withcott.

For
the first time, The Australian Lung Foundation will test the effectiveness
of television advertising in raising awareness of COPD. The campaign,
entitled: “Is COPD Knocking the Wind out of You?”, will appear from August
20th to September 28th in Toowoomba, Queensland.
