Charity Performance
Sunday 24 AUGUST 2008
The Australian Doctors Orchestra (ADO) is performing a charity concert at Bond University on the Gold Coast, Sunday 24th August 2008 with net proceeds from this concert going directly to the Australian Lung Foundation (ALF) .
The orchestra is made up of both undergraduates and graduates, representing general practice and all specialties from all states and territories around Australia.
"The Australian Doctors Orchestra is delighted to be associated with The Australian Lung Foundation. We are a national association of doctors and medical students with a passion for music who gather once a year to play together. Well over 120 of us attend several days of intensive rehearsal before giving a public performance in aid of a medical charity, and this year we are very pleased to be supporting The Australian Lung Foundation in raising funds for lung cancer. We do hope you will attend our concert on Sunday afternoon."
Lindy Clarke, for the ADO Queensland organising committee.

What is the Breath of Life Music Festival?
http://www.breathoflifefestival.com.au
The Breath of Life Music Festival is the brain child of Hank Lizotte and his family. It is designed as a three day musical festival involving a gala dinner with acoustic performances from some young local artists and performances from Diesel, his band, and the Burnie Youth Choir - workshops and information sessions for young music students conducted by Jimmy Barnes, Diesel & his band and Tas Music – culminating in a 12 hour concert featuring local original bands as well as performances by Jimmy Barnes and Diesel, and the Burnie Youth Choir.
The Breath of Life Musical festival will be held March 6th – 8th inclusive at Reece High School in Devonport, Tasmania. This is an all ages event, designed to attract patrons from all sections of the community.
Why?
The Breath of Life Music Festival is an opportunity to raise funds for PIVOT (Pulmonary Interstitial Vascular Organisational Taskforce) which is part of The Australian Lung Foundation.
The Lizotte family have been touched with family illness of lung disease and are very keen to help raise much needed funds for this worthwhile cause.
